Face — Treatment

The nose, as it was
always meant to be

Rhinoplasty as anatomy, not architecture. We don't draw a new nose onto you — we release the one that already lives there. Open or closed technique, decided in the consultation, not on the day.

Rhinoplasty — anatomical illustration

What it is & what it isn't

A surgical reshaping of the nasal bone and cartilage. Performed under general anaesthesia, typically one and a half to three hours, with one night in hospital and seven days in Antalya before you fly home. Performed inside the nostrils (closed) or through a small incision on the columella (open). Decided by your anatomy, not by trend.

What it isn't

This is not the nose from a magazine, copied onto your face. This is not a button. This is not a celebrity profile. A rhinoplasty that looks operated-on is rhinoplasty done badly — and it is the most common reason patients write to us asking for revision surgery.

How it unfolds

Consultation

We sit with you and photographs from five angles, and discuss not what you would like changed but what you would not like changed.

Anaesthesia

General anaesthesia. You sleep. You wake with no memory of the work itself.

The procedure

Closed approach through the nostrils, or open approach with a small incision on the columella. Bone is reshaped. Cartilage is reshaped or grafted. The skin re-drapes over a new framework.

Recovery

Splint for seven days. Bruising for ten to fourteen. The nose continues to settle for twelve months. The final result is the version you carry for life.

Recovery

First night in hospital. Days two through seven in a quiet Antalya hotel — splint on, swelling visible. The splint comes off on day seven and the first version of your new profile appears. You fly home looking pink. By the end of week three, you look rested. By month six, you look like yourself. By month twelve, the swelling is fully gone and the result is final.

A typical course, not a promise — healing differs from person to person. Dr. Meral reviews you at each follow-up and decides when each step is right for you.

This may be for you if

  • Adults over eighteen, after nasal growth has stopped.
  • Patients with a deviated septum affecting breathing.
  • Patients with a dorsal hump, drooping tip, or post-traumatic deformity.
  • Patients who can articulate what they don't like about their nose without naming a celebrity.

This is not for you if

  • Patients seeking revision within six months of a previous rhinoplasty — the nose hasn't settled yet.
  • Patients with body dysmorphic disorder. We will tell you so, kindly.
  • Patients who want a nose that is not anatomically possible on their face.
