Body — Treatment

Proportion,
quietly returned

The Brazilian Butt Lift, performed under ultrasound guidance because we believe the only acceptable risk profile is the lowest one available. Aesthetics is what you will see. Safety is the work you won't.

BBL — Brazilian Butt Lift — anatomical illustration

What it is & what it isn't

An autologous fat transfer to the buttocks: fat is taken from areas where you have it in excess (typically waist, flanks and back), processed, and transferred — only into the subcutaneous layer, never into muscle — using real-time ultrasound to confirm cannula position. Three to four hours under general anaesthesia. One night in hospital. Seven to ten days in Antalya.

What it isn't

This is not a single shape that everyone leaves with. It is not a silicone implant. It is not performed in under an hour by a team running six rooms in parallel. If you have read about BBL deaths, you have read about clinics that worked faster than safety allows. We work slower.

The practical detail

What you are actually committing to.

Procedure time
Typically 3 — 4 hours
Anaesthesia
General
Hospital stay
Typically one night
Stay in Antalya
Typically 7 — 10 nights
Flying again
Usually after 7 — 10 days
Sitting (with cushion)
Usually after 2 weeks
Final result
Typically 4 — 6 months
Fat retention
Typically 60 — 80% — the rest reabsorbs in the first 3 months
Safety method
Ultrasound-guided, subcutaneous-only fat placement

These figures are typical ranges, for planning your trip. Your own treatment and recovery timeline is assessed and decided by Dr. Meral — at consultation, and again as your healing progresses.

How it unfolds

Liposuction phase

Fat is harvested from your waist, flanks, lower back and sometimes upper thighs — the areas that, once reduced, sculpt the natural curve the buttock will sit against.

Fat processing

Harvested fat is washed and separated. Only viable adipocytes are retained. This is the part that determines how much fat survives long-term.

Ultrasound-guided transfer

Fat is injected only into the subcutaneous layer of the buttock, never into the gluteal muscle, with the cannula visualised on real-time ultrasound. This is the single most important safety step in modern BBL.

Recovery

Compression garment for six weeks. No sitting on the result for two weeks. The shape settles over the first three months as some fat reabsorbs; what remains at month four is what stays.

Recovery

One night in hospital. The compression garment goes on before you wake. Days two through seven in your hotel — you walk, you stand, you sleep on your front or side, and you do not sit on the result. A BBL pillow allows brief sitting from week two. Compression for six weeks. Final shape at month four, once the partial fat reabsorption has settled. The result you have at four months is the result you keep.

A typical course, not a promise — healing differs from person to person. Dr. Meral reviews you at each follow-up and decides when each step is right for you.

This may be for you if

  • Patients with enough fat in the waist and flanks to harvest — without this, there is no procedure.
  • Patients who can take six weeks of modified sitting and sleeping after the surgery.
  • Patients seeking proportion, not maximum volume — we shape, we do not inflate.

This is not for you if

  • Patients with very low body fat — there is nothing to transfer.
  • Patients unwilling to follow the no-sitting protocol — the result will not hold.
  • Patients who want a specific celebrity's shape — anatomy is not transferable.
